I agree here. Every member should have a say in this. To be honest, a good GM that cares about his or her league will always check in on trades made around them.

3 owners out of the 28 owners not involved in the trade seems like a pretty small number to force the commissioner to do some review of the trade. 5-6 official protests to the commissioner is more reasonable but still a small percentage of the league.
I think if we go to this format that protests of trades should go to the commissioner only to avoid causing an uproar in the league. It should be a personal protest by each individual, not something that others do because they know another owner protested.
That's my opinion.

The barrage of emails over the weekend got me thinking. Instead of having an approval board, why don't we just have ALL GM's message only if they don't approve. A trade that receives 3 or more NOT APPROVED must then be reviewed and approved or denied by the commissioner. We could give a 24 hour window to get in your disapprovals. I know this will cause some last minute trades to be pushed off until the next sim, but so be it. I think the only time this may be an issue is at the trade deadline. I sure we could come up with something that will work for the deadline also.
