The rebuilding efforts started by the staff in Houston have continued to show their explicit interest in preserving team earnings instead of investing in high dollar free agents. In fact, the majority of this off-season’s signings have been in the direction of talent which has been less than fortunate to be given a chance in the various systems. With this in mind, GM Houser Stands firmly behind his only big purchase, Tim Tyler, which will offer the team a solid hurler for the next two seasons and possibly more and fill in the open space left by last years ROY Hernandez. Overall, this will not be much more than a season of working through the issues which plague the WBC system and weeding out the weaker links. Also, there might be a few moves to improve the system as well, so keep your eyes open!
