Wingate Gazette

Lot's of yelling could be heard from inside the clubhouse today. One has to wonder if the expectations of the season are getting to the players. I asked Spike what was going on in there. "We are just getting ready for our game tonight against Phoenix," said Spike. "Nothing out of the ordinary." However, a person that wished to remain anonymous said, "Mr. Palin ripped them a new one and suggested that some players might hit the bench/road if they don't start winning." Murray Clay said "Who's this so-called source? I have no idea what you are talking about. We are a team and we will work things out as a team. Now if you don't mind we have a game to play." Other players asked to comment refused to say anything and just headed out to the field.
While Wingate may have started off a little slow they are still right in it. Let's see how the do on this road trip to Phoenix and Washington. The pitching has remained really good, the hitting just needs to come around; well, that and they could stand to make less errors as a team.
